Chenoa Wilcox

Undergraduate student
Evolution, Ecology and Biodiversity major, Plant Biology minor, 4th year

I grew up in: Ramona, California

Biology because: It called to me. I came into UCD as a math major, but I fell in love with ecology and plants during the BIS 2 series.

Davis because: It has the small-town feel that reminds me of home; it's not scary like a big city. Everyone is friendly, and I am happy to call it home.

UCD in six words or less: Welcoming, friendly, active, unique, happy

Favorite life form: Plants!

Favorite local spot: The greenhouses

Proudest accomplishment: Finding something I am passionate about. Both my parents are engineers and can't understand why I love plants so much, but it makes me happy!

Future plans: I graduate in June and plant to look for a job for the next year or two to gain experience before pursuing a master's in ecology.
