Speaker Bio: I am a Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Damien Caillaud's lab in the Department of Anthropology at UC Davis. As a primatologist, I integrate behavioral and movement ecology to understand how primates respond to environmental change. I earned my MSc from UNAM in Mexico and my PhD in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley, where I studied the mechanisms of resilience to anthropogenic disturbance in black howler monkeys in Chiapas, Mexico. My current research examines behavioral flexibility and knowledge transmission among adult Grauer's gorillas in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I am committed to scientific outreach and to community-based approaches to wildlife conservation.

Seminar Title: Behavioral flexibility and resilience to disturbed and novel environments in primates
