Simon Anthony, D.Phil. UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, presents "Coronavirus Recombination: An evolutionary mechanism driving disease emergence in humans and other animals".

Dr. Anthony is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. His work focuses on the discovery and characterization of wildlife viruses in wildlife and on how ecological and evolutionary mechanisms shape viral genomes and drive zoonotic spillover
