Dr. David Segal, UC Davis, presents "Therapeutic gene editing is on the brink of disaster (and why no one has a good plan for saving it)".

David Segal received his Ph.D. from the University of Utah and performed a post-doc at The Scripps Research Institute. Now at UC Davis, Dr. Segal's research focuses on gene and epigenome editing to treat neurologic disorders. He is the co-Chair of the UC Davis Integrative Genetics and Genomics graduate group. He is a founding member of the Interventional Genetics Team at the UC Davis MIND Institute, an investigator in the NIH Somatic Cell Genome Editing Consortium, and Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers in Genome Editing.
