Natalie Cain, Ph.D., Deputy Editor, Cell Reports, presents "Getting published: tips and advice from a professional editor".

Natalie Cain is a Deputy Editor at Cell Reports. Launched in 2012, Cell Reports was Cell Press’ first Gold Open Access title. It is now part of the Cell Reports portfolio covering all sciences. Natalie joined Cell Reports in 2017 after a Ph.D. at MIT studying protein trafficking and nutrient sensing, and postdoctoral work at the University of California Davis studying mechanisms of nuclear positioning. At Cell Reports, she helps lead a team of 18 scientific editors located across the globe. The in-house editorial team works with authors, reviewers, and the journal’s scientific advisory board to ensure exemplary editorial process, fair and robust peer review, and rapid dissemination and communication of research.
