Dr. Marcos Simoes-Costa, Associate Professor, Department of Systems Biology and Pathology, Harvard Medical School, presents "Metabolic control of the neural crest epigenome".

Dr. Marcos Simoes-Costa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Biology and Pathology at Harvard Medical School. Marcos completed his B.A. from the University of Santa Catarina and then Ph.D. from the University of Sao Paulo. After starting his laboratory at Cornell University in 2016, Marcos moved to Harvard Medical School, where his team studies the spatial control of gene expression during embryonic development. His team combines state of the art developmental biology techniques with systems-level approaches, such as transcriptomics and epigenomics analysis, to characterize novel regulatory circuits controlling neural crest development in vertebrate model systems.
