Peace Corps paid Volunteers put their purpose, passion, and skills to work in partnership with host communities in nearly 60 countries. Volunteers live and work side-by-side with community members to partner on locally prioritized projects in the areas of education, health, environment, agriculture, community economic development and youth in development. Volunteers are covered for all expenses including return airfare, food and lodging. They are provided medical and dental coverage and accrue 2 days of vacation per month. Upon return, volunteers receive $10,000, graduate school benefits (sometimes you can earn your degree for free!), and prioritization in Federal hiring. Student loans can be deferred while in service. The Peace Corps accepts any undergraduate degree.
