Peter Pellitier, Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Biology, Stanford University, presents "Ectomycorrhizal Fungal Traits and The Making of Future Forests".

Peter Pellitier's research focuses on linking the activity of soil fungi with forest responses to climate change. He specifically studies symbiotic, ectomycorrhizal fungi, and traits associated with nutrient cycling and community assembly processes. Peter received a BA from Pomona College and earned his PhD in 2020 at the University of Michigan. Peter was the recipient of the NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Stanford University, and he will join the faculty at the University of Utah, Department of Biology in the Fall of 2024.
