Prof. Cyril Zipfel, University of Zurich & The Sainsbury Laboratory, presents "Roles and recognition of stress-regulated secreted signaling peptides".

Since June 2018, Cyril Zipfel is Professor at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Before, he was the Head of The Sainsbury Laboratory in Norwich (UK) where he was Group Leader since 2007. He obtained his PhD from the University of Basel in 2005 where he worked under the supervision of Thomas Boller and was then an EMBO Post-Doctoral Fellow at The Sainsbury Laboratory working with Jonathan Jones. He has published over 190 peer-reviewed papers, secured Starting and Consolidator European Research Council grants, is a Highly Cited Researcher (since 2014), was awarded the ASPB Charles Albert Shull Award in 2015 and Tsuneko & Reiji Okazaki Award in 2018, and is an elected member of the European Molecular Biology Organization since 2018.
