FoodAtlas: An AI-driven Knowledge Base of Food, Chemicals, and Health Effects

The quality of what we eat profoundly impacts human health.

Dr. Ilias Tagkopoulos will share his work leveraging AI and Machine Learning to make food composition information more accessible. FoodAtlas connects foods, chemicals, and their health effects, featuring 260,000 associations across 1,430 foods and 3,600 chemicals, extracted from 42,000 scientific publications and public databases.

In this talk, we will explore the computational methods used to construct the FoodAtlas knowledge graph and discuss how the application can drive discoveries in food, nutrition, and health.
