Research Interests

Research in the Bogar Lab examines symbiotic interactions between plant roots and soil fungi, with an emphasis on ectomycorrhizal mutualisms between forest trees and fungi. Using tools from molecular biology and physiology, we strive to understand how the small-scale mechanisms that drive these plant-fungal interactions can affect community and ecosystem processes.
