Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior

Jessica is a first-generation college graduate who obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Chicanx Studies from CSU, Sacramento and is currently pursuing her Master's in Counseling with an emphasis in School. She is passionate about deconstructing barriers for students to help them reach their academic goals. 

 Prior to joining the BASC team Jessica worked at CSU, Sacramento for five years and was the first point of contact for incoming and current students. She has a background in student support services that range from Financial Aid, Registrar's, and Wellness. She is excited to now be able to advise ​students in the College of Biological Sciences. She is dedicated to her students' needs and hopes to be able to guide them through their college journey. 

 Outside of the office she likes to drink coffee, try new food, meditate, and spend time with her family.
