Teresa Nishikawa is an academic advisor for undergraduates in the Biological Sciences major. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Biology of Natural Resources and a Master of Science degree from California State University, Hayward (now East Bay) in Counseling, with an emphasis in Cross Cultural Counseling.
Teresa recently joined the BASC advising team and brings over 25 years of academic and advising experience from Stanford University. She has supported post-doctoral fellows, graduate, undergraduate, and advanced high school students. Teresa is passionate about helping students achieve their goals and get the most out of their university experience. She considers it a privilege to partner with students to support their educational journey. Her interests include volleyball, wine tasting and collecting, being a foodie, reading, local backroads travel, potter’s wheel, browsing art galleries, yoga, and alternative healing techniques.
