Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committees 

• Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology Graduate Group - Diversity and Inclusion Committee
  This committee promotes and fosters a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment by providing diversity and anti-racism training for all BMCDB members (faculty and students) and mentorship training for all BMCDB faculty members.
• Coastal and Marine Sciences Institute - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
  The Bodega Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee consists of volunteers from BML and BMR who are committed to improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the BML/BMR community.
• Integrative Genetics and Genomics Graduate Group - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
  This committee is working to develop and nurture a graduate program where all students can reach their maximum potential. The committee hopes to empower all IGG members to remove barriers based on sex/gender preference, social injustice, inequality, and racial trauma.
• Population Biology Graduate Group - Student Diversity Committee
  This committee was formed by graduate students in the Population Biology Graduate Group to increase and support student diversity.

Other Programs and Initiatives

• Center for Neuroscience - DEI Programs
  The center partners with leaders, faculty, staff and students to address implicit and explicit bias, racism and structural inequalities within the neuroscience community, and invests in strategic efforts to DEI in the neurosciences.
• Diversity in STEM Coalition (DISC)
  This coalition was established by students to support the retention and success of marginalized students in STEM at UC Davis and foster community between diversity-focused organizations in STEM by collaboratively hosting professional development events.
• Neuroscience Graduate Group - Neuroscience Initiative to Enhance Diversity
  This annual program is administered by the Neuroscience Graduate Group to encourage sophomore, junior and senior undergraduate students to pursue a Ph.D. in Neuroscience.
• Seminar Outreach for Minority Advocacy (SOMA)
  A team of neuroscience graduate students at UC Davis with the aim of creating a platform for neuroscience scholars from historically underrepresented and excluded backgrounds. SOMA has adopted a format which includes a seminar series, and an annual SOMA Summit.
• Sustainable Oceans Scholars Program
  This program trains the next generation of marine scientists to generate use-inspired research questions about ocean, coastal and ecosystem-based management. Students from traditionally underrepresented groups in marine and coastal sciences are encouraged to apply.
